Nokia 3310 

New technology

Evolution started with new designes of phones especialy  cell phones. In 1990's cell phones were for texting only, hardly for calling. If they were able to call to other phones that meant bigger prize.

Release

   Big change happened at the year 2000 when Japanesse mobile company called Nokia designed and introduced first " cheap" cell phone called Nokia 3310. When this phone arrived to USA it was a big event. Nokia started big race between mobile companies and became the most popular mobile company in the world.

Customization

     This Model can be customize by a thousands of different designes of cover by various companies. Nokia 3310 also has 35 ringtones already avaible in orginal cell phone. Another tones can be downloaded from computer or by sending a SMS message. Phone also has a multiple " profiles" for example silent mode: phone would not ring but just vibrate.

 Toyota Prius

Beginning

 With the first cheap and good avaible cell phone Asian companies came wth another idea how to make life better. With decade bagan new relationship with nature. All industrial companies bagan noticing that if they will continue ruining nature I will be worse and worse. This led to first hybrid car in modern history called Toyota Prius.

Release

     Toyota, as one of the biggest car companies in the world could try little experiment. At the year 2001 Prius was subsequently introduced worldwide in 70 different countries. In May 2008 Toyota sold more than 1 million Toyota Prius hybrids.

     First generation( 2003)

       Second generaiton ( 2003- 2009) competly redesigned, different interior. more environmentally friendly.

       Third generation ( 2009- present) cutting the prize. Bigger and longer. Even more environmentally friendly.

 DVD Video

Development

In the late 90's VHS videos were dominating USA market, but in Asian market started being too" old" for the sudden civilians. In the beggining of the year 2001 asian companies like Sony, Toshiba and Panasonic came out with new idea. This idea meant disegning completly new format for recording and playing at TVs and computers. New format was called " DVD" ( digital videodisc). These dics had higher storage capacity than their predecessors compat discs. Blank recodable discs were called DVD- R and DVD+R they can be recorded once a DVD recorder and then function as a DVD- ROM.

Changes

    The biggest change bettwen VHS and DVD video is that DVD is in digital format. Other different is that VHS could be use only for TV recording and playing. Massive part of population, specially teenagers started using laptops and computers at middle 2000's so in America were DVD's disks and recorders very popular from very beggining.

Technology

     DVD uses 650 nm wavelength laser diode light as opposed to 780 nm for CD. This permits a smaller pit to be etched on the media surface compared to CDs (0.74 µm for DVD versus 1.5 µm for CD), allowing in part for DVD's increased storage capacity. This all means much faster memory and bigger capacity than " old school" VHS.

Apple Iphone

Development

The biggest change in technology happed at mobile industrie. New cell phone called originally Iphone or later on Iphone 2G. First cell with touchscreen designed and marketed by Apple Inc.. It was introduced in the United States on June 29, 2007. It featured quad- band Global system for Mobile communication ( GSM) with general packet service ( GPRS) and enhanced data rates for GSM Evolution ( EDGE) . Steve Jobs idea was to connect phone with computer in a way in which he could type directly onto the display, esentially removing the physical keyboard and mouse. Jobs recruited a group of Apple engineers to investigate the idea as a side project. The entire project began in 2005 and was called Project Purple 2.

             Apple created the device during a secretive and unprecedented collaboration with AT&AT.

Jobs said: " I have been looking forward to this for two and a half years" .

Release

The iPhone was released on June 29, 2007 in the United States where thousands of people were reported to have queued outside Apple and AT&AT retail stores days before the device's launch with many stores reporting stock shortages within an hour.
